Investment Delivery Authority - Market Sounding Form

This form is designed to capture responses to the Market Sounding process to identify projects that support fuel security in NSW. The Market Sounding is for projects which do not yet meet the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) Round 2 criteria (e.g. the project is too early or does not meet the Estimated Development Cost threshold). The purpose of the Market Sounding is to help government better understand emerging fuel security projects, market opportunities, barriers to investment and delivery, and potential areas where government support or coordination may assist.

Market Sounding submissions are not evaluated for IDA endorsement and are not eligible to receive IDA support— they are analysed to identify and understand barriers and inform policies to unlock future investment.

The form has a small number of questions to identify the potential project and understand how it would contribute to fuel security, including the type of project, the size of investment, and potential timelines for delivery. The form also allows proponents to identify any significant barriers impacting project delivery, and specific government support requirements, including coordination, policy settings, infrastructure investment, or regulatory changes that could enable delivery.

Unless stated otherwise, information submitted as part of the webform will be treated as commercially sensitive information.

The form can be saved and resumed later by selecting ‘Save my progress and resume later’ at the top or bottom of each page of the form.
